As with many institutions, the workforce of Little Rock Wastewater (LRW) is changing,
aging, and retiring. Workforce Planning is an internal program established to engage in a development
effort to ensure LRW retains its organizational resources. As LRW observes changes to its knowledge base
as a result of employee’s transformation to the private sector, it is imperative that LRW not only maintain
its current knowledge resources, but also plan for future changes. Acquiring the attributes of transformational
leadership will result in a sustainable organization that supplies the life-preserving services that wastewater
professionals provide our community. This desire for knowledge retention led to the formation of a Workforce Planning
Program (WPP) and which later lead to the Leadership Solutions® program and related curriculum.
